ATON’s standard sweatshirts are based on vintage college sweatshirts sold in the purchasing department of a university in Los Angeles in the 70’s. The cuffs are designed with ribbed triangles so that the point of emphasis is not concentrated at one point. The cuffs are designed with ribbed triangles so as not to concentrate the force on a single point, making it a functional design. The “A” mark on the front of the chest is made of flocking, so it does not peel off and has a velvet-like feel.

This is a special item made of jersey knitted in Wakayama using thick yarns at twice the density of normal yarns, with natural dye applied to the jersey. The durability of the fabric itself is of course enhanced by the high-density knitting, and because it is dyed and washed thoroughly, it is an excellent item that does not shrink even when put through the dryer. The reverse side of the fabric is made up of three layers: the front side, the back side, and the surface connecting the two sides. This makes the fabric stretch overwhelmingly well and warmer.

※NATURAL DYE
Dye is created from plant flowers, leaves, stems, bark, pericarp, or minerals using new ideas and techniques, and dyed using a robust technique that does not use mordants. Usually, when dyeing by extracting pigments from plants, only smoky colors can be expressed instead of vivid colors, or colors may fade. ATON is dyed with “NATURAL DYE” to make products that can be felt by the brain and skin.
