cashmere knit is delicately dyed one by one by the eyes and hands of skilled craftsmen. The factory is located at the foot of the Tateyama mountain range in the Northern Alps, in a heavy snowfall area represented by the World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go. The knit is left to swirl in the abundant snowmelt water that flows from here, resulting in beautiful color and a delicate, soft nap. Conventional fur processing involves combing out the surface hairs to create a nap, which not only damages the fibers but also results in approximately 20% of the raw material being lost and wasted. ATON uses fine-count cashmere that is strictly quality-controlled by Japanese spinning manufacturers. To make the most of this precious raw material, it is processed with beautiful water and knitted using whole garment (seamless) knitting to minimize raw material waste. This year, in addition to solid colors, new top colors have been added. It is characterized by the delicate colors and textures created by mixing cotton in its raw state.
